What you should know about playing Poker

Poker is one of the most fun games you could play for fun or for money. It is a very BIG money making business for casinos and it is not surprising why there are more millionaires in Vegas than any other known city!

But as famous quotes goes "Everything that Glitters in NOT gold" The same principle applies to the game of gambling or betting. If there's a possibility to make money there's also a possibility to lose it - this is how the whole game works.

Someone HAS to lose in order for the others to make money! Poker is booming - books are available for you to learn the game, websites offer tips, strategies but rarely do they warn you of possible pitfalls of this dark game, Poker is.

There are many Poker millionaires in this world but there are far more people who went broke playing Poker - or should I say lost everything like family, money, home and self-respect all because they were disillusioned and did not account for the pitfalls and perils that Poker holds.

Poker can make you a LOT of money in a VERY short amount of time but it also can ruin all of your life if you take it lightly and don;t think long-term. It ain't such a happy game as it seems to be.

So does this mean you should stop playing?
Absolutely no! It that were the case I wouldn't have started this poker learning blog. You can always play for fun and if you feel like your luck is with you, you can always try your hand with some cash.

Set aside some particular amount per month that wouldn't ruin your life if you lost that. In other words, spend only as much as your comfortable losing.

Don't bet by borrowing money. In fact its the worst thing you can do with the money.

The bottom line? Use your own judgment before playing with real cash and happy playing!
